South East Academy of Martial Arts – Kickboxing Clubs

Our Kickboxing classes in the South East cover a range of fitness and stretching exercises, kicking and punching techniques and pad work. This will be carried out in a controlled fun environment overseen by one of our qualified instructors. These can be fun-filled high intense sessions with your goals our aim.

Whether you want to learn new skills in Kickboxing,  or re-engage with the sport classes in the South East are designed to help you achieve your personal goals from increasing your fitness through to competition fighting depending on your personal goals and requirements. We ensure that our classes are relaxed and have a great atmosphere with expert instructors on hand to push you to achieve your goals through personalised monitoring and a variety of proven routines. Whether you’re looking to learn new skills in kickboxing through to using our classes to improve your fitness, our instructors work closely alongside you to maximise the benefits of our services.

We provide opportunities for anybody to gain access to professional training classes in a friendly, exciting and enjoyable atmosphere.

New members are always welcome and we ensure that the club is suitable for men, women and children from the age of 4 years upwards. We offer a variety of classes of Kickboxing, classes  around the South East.

Ian Carter, Instructor at South East Academy of Martial Arts - Kickboxing Clubs

Ian Carter

Ian Carter has a background in traditional Lau Gar Kung Fu and has been training in martial arts for 30 years with 20 over years of teaching.

Ian has coached students from all ages and abilities, helping raw beginners to achieve their blackbelts. Ian has also developed a number of students to go on to win British & European Championships and become British National squad members.

A keen and dedicated instructor. Who drives his students to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.

Caitlin Tiddy

Caitlin has been training for 11 years an has achieved her 2nd degree black belt in kickboxing. Cat is an instructor who pushes her students hard and the classes are enjoyable. Cat teaches with a passion that is contagious. The students always leave the classes with a smile.

Zoe is a highly accomplished 3rd Dan Kickboxing Instructor with a passion for providing fun, enjoyable, and inclusive training sessions. With years of experience and a dedication to leading from the front, Zoe ensures that every class is suitable for students of all levels. Zoe began her kickboxing journey at the age of 24. Since then, she has honed her skills and developed a comprehensive understanding of the sport. Her journey has been marked by a commitment to not only mastering kickboxing techniques but also fostering a welcoming environment for all participants.

Believing in the power of an inclusive approach to training. Her sessions are designed to be engaging and accessible, ensuring that each class is lively and interactive, making kickboxing an enjoyable experience for everyone. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete, classes cater to a diverse range of abilities and ages and are known for their friendly and supportive atmosphere, ensuring all participants feel welcome and encouraged, focusing on developing physical skills as well as mental resilience.

Zoe is more than just a kickboxing instructor, she leads by example, demonstrating techniques and inspiring students to push their limits. She is a motivator, and a mentor dedicated to helping her students achieve their personal best. Whether you’re looking to learn self-defence, improve fitness, or simply have fun, offering something for everyone.

Michael

Mike

Michael is a 6th Dan Kickboxing and Kung Fu Instructor with a rich history in martial arts. With over 25 years of experience, he has become a respected figure in the Southeast Academy, teaching students of all ages and abilities.

Michael’s journey in martial arts began at the age of 18, a time when he discovered his passion for kickboxing. His commitment to the sport was evident from the start, as he trained rigorously to hone his skills. This dedication quickly paid off, as he began competing on the kickboxing circuit, facing off against some of the best fighters in the arena.

Michael’s teaching philosophy revolves around inclusivity and adaptability, ensuring that each student receives personalised guidance according to their unique abilities. Where he believes in fostering a supportive and encouraging environment where everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners, can thrive.

He instils discipline, confidence, and resilience in his students, qualities that are essential both inside and outside the dojo.
